We have just finalised the whereabout to shoot and the layout of the video as well. The angle view was decided and what's left for this is the filming and the modeling of the buildings. The building's gonna be those kind of futuristic or iconic kind of building. Reference images were found.
This shot is basically a guy walking into the camera frames, where there are buildings at the side and the CG model buildings at the back. A spacecraft is then gonna hover past the city. The feel is more or less like those scenes where you see in Armaggedon .

As for the other shot, I'm gonna add in lamp posts and other CG models as well.

Filmed today and started a little modeling. Wasn't very well done though and there's still room for improvements. However, the layout of the shots are somewhat finalized.
Not very well done, made some amendments. Might not be the same as the reference image. Textures and lighting not applied yet.

Was late for school again. Had a little problem but oh well. Anyway, Mr Leong taught us a better way to texture our models. It's still mediocre but there's still time for me to improve. Did a little modification to the building and it kinda turns out to look like a statue, instead of an building. Have to set higher for the UV and add more edge loops to make it look not that flat. Gotta work double hard for tomorrow

Tried to adjust the UV texture for the building. Have been doing for quite a long time as i have to place in the textures and align the layout of the building. Done with the texturing and now it's only left with the bump. 60% DONE. Nothing much for today, except for the texturing that's all. Anyway, i might be deleting the other side and maybe do a mirror geometry or something to it. That's it for today.

Had many problems regarding the building. The extruding part was pretty.................. fail. Luckily Mr Leong came to rescue or i think i'm gonna spend my next whole day modeling this again. But there's still some minor problems....... Have to wait for Mr Leong or someone who knows how to solve it.

Done with the building. Now that's left with is to add it into the scene along with the spacecraft. Start editing the footage on Nuke but i don't quite know how to do....... Will elaborate more for tomorrow's post.

Did the color correction for the original building with the sky that was replaced with a still image. Shahril was rotoscoped out and was color correct as well. Tried to make the building more bluish and more gloomy too.

Buildings and aircraft were added into the scene. Initially we couldn't put the buildings into the scene as there was no alpha channel (i think). There were many problems such as the shadows were not rendered in Maya and thus, it looks kinda weird. Tried to color correct it as well

The whole rendered scene. There was many error but we managed to solve it just in time (i know it's pretty late right now though). Ok, done.
